Baby H Sneak Preview

Working on pics of Baby H this week.  Last shoot of the year.   

 He is about 4 weeks old and was wide awake and happy when we took pics.   He's a cutie!

John and Nicole Sneak Preview

I'm always on the lookout for new places close by that would be good for a shoot.   I drove by this old mill about 5 minutes from our house and I've always wanted to try and take pics there, so that's where we headed. 

 John and Nicole were actually the very first people who were brave enough to let me take their engagement pics for them when I bought my DSLR two years ago.  Thank you for being my first models!!

 Here's some pics from that shoot from long ago...  

The bottom two are my favorite because we just passed this old house on the way home and as soon as we saw it, we knew it was perfect place.  We hit the brakes, turned around and we were glad we did.  People were honking their horns at us while we took pics :) 

R Families Sneak Preview

Drove out to Wild and Wonderful West Virginia last Monday to take pics for a friend and fellow Marine.  It had been a while since I've seen him and his family so it was good to just be back there, catch up and share stories.  Their little girl just woke up from a nap and she was happy and ready to go :)  

By the way my friend has a business and you should check it out...www.biggriggsfarm.com.   The idea for his company started while we were serving in Iraq.   Out in the desert we'd always talk about what we'd like to do when we got back home and it has been great seeing his idea come to life.  You can find his stuff at Whole Foods and some farmers markets around Northern Va as well.
